We are very pleased that you are interested in our website and our company.
The protection of your personal data during collection, processing and usage on your visit to our website is an important issue for us. Your data are protected in the context of legal regulations. Below you will find information on which data are collected during your visit to our website and how they are used
Despite careful control of contents, we cannot accept any liability for external links to third-party content.
If you send us enquiries using the contact form or by e-mail, we will save your data from this contact, including the contact details you have given us on the form or e-mail, for the purpose of processing your enquiry and the possibility of follow-up questions. We do not pass these data on to third parties without your consent.
The processing of the data given in the contact form is therefore undertaken exclusively on the basis of your consent (article 6 paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. To do so, it is sufficient to send us notification by e-mail, in any form. The lawfulness of any data processing that has taken place until the withdrawal of consent shall remain unaffected by this.
The details you give in the contact form remain with us until you request erasure from us, withdraw your consent for them to be stored or the purpose for which the data are stored is no longer applicable (e.g. conclusion of processing of your enquiry). Compelling legal provisions – in particular legal retention periods – remain unaffected by this.
We exclusively supply opticians (business customers) and operate a “B2B ordering system” for them. If you would like to register for this, we require the following details concerning you:
Title, first name, surname, e-mail address, street and house number, postcode, town and state, telephone number and fax number, if applicable, and naturally your password. After we successfully (manually) verify and issue authorisation, you have the possibility of ordering the glasses you desire. The date and time of the order process is stored with each order. This is for purposes of traceability – in particular for any technical issues that may arise.
No payment details of any kind are collected on our website.
We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary in the context of the processing of the contract, for example to the company entrusted with delivery of the goods or the credit institute commissioned to deal with payment. We do not transfer the data other than for these purposes, or only do so if specific consent has been given for said transfer. For example, your data are not transferred to third parties without specific consent, or transferred for marketing purposes.
The basis for the data processing is article 6 paragraph 1 lit. b GDPR, which authorises the processing of data for the performance of a contract or measures prior to entering into a contract.
If you would like to obtain the newsletter offered on the website, we require from you an e-mail address and information which enables us to verify that you are indeed the holder of the e-mail address given, and that you agree to the mailing of the newsletter. No other data are collected, or are only collected on the basis of your consent. We use these data are used exclusively for sending the information requested and we do not pass them on to others.
The processing of the data given in the newsletter subscription form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (article 6 paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR). You can at any time withdraw the consent given for storage of data, the e-mail address and the use thereof for sending the newsletter, for instance using the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing which has already taken place shall remain unaffected by this.
We will save the data consigned to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and erase them after cancellation of the newsletter. Data we have saved for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members’ area) shall remain unaffected by this.
Information, blocking, erasure
In the framework of current legal regulations you have the right at any time to obtain information, free of charge, on the personal data concerning you that are stored, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, as applicable, the right to rectification, blocking or erasure of these data.
We will be happy to inform you of the personal data concerning you we have stored if you send us a written request.
Your personal data which have been stored are erased if you withdraw your consent to the storage, if knowledge of them for fulfilment of the purpose of the storage is no longer necessary, or if storage of them is not authorised due to other legal reasons.
Right to data portability
You have the right to receive data which we process in automated fashion on the basis of your consent or in order to perform a contract, or have them transmitted to third parties, in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transmission of the data to another controller, this shall only be performed where technically feasible.
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
If you should conclude that we are not dealing with your personal data in accordance with the law, you are entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
The competent supervisory body for data protection issues for our company is the state representative for data protection of Baden-Württemberg (see contact details below).
We endeavour to take all possible technical and organisational measures to store your personal data in such a way that they are not accessible to third parties. We cannot guarantee total data security during communication by e-mail and therefore recommend that you send any confidential information by post.
For security reasons and in order to protect the transfer of confidential contents, such as any enquiries you may send us as site operator, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection because the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to , and also by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer us cannot be seen by third parties.
The site provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transfers to us automatically. This information is:
· Browser type and version
· Operating system used
· Referrer URL
· Host name of the accessing computer
· Time of server request
· IP address
These data will not be merged with other data sources.
These data are collected on the basis of article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically smooth display and optimisation of its website, and to achieve this server log files must be deployed.
